Quick Backtest
A single-page answer to one question: if I had copied this trader, what would have happened? It needs no account, which makes it the fastest way to see whether following someone is worth setting up properly.
Running one#
- Open Quick Backtest on Orca.
- Pick a trader, by name or wallet address.
- Set a starting bankroll and a per-trade copy amount, then choose how far back to replay.
It replays their trades against real prices and shows what the portfolio would have done.
Note
Signed out, it is limited to one trader and a 30-day window. Signing in lifts both.
What it does not tell you#
A backtest prices the trades the whale actually made, at the prices they got. That is the right number for judging the trader and the wrong number for judging the idea of following them, because you would not have gotten those prices.
Before putting money behind a result, open the same trader in a paper portfolio and switch the fill mode to Executable. A result that survives that is a real one.
Where to go next#
- A promising trader belongs in a paper portfolio, which keeps running forward rather than only looking back.
- Add them to your watchlist so their trades reach the Following feed.
