Alerts

Alerts send whale trades that match your rules to Discord or Telegram in real time. Set up a channel once, build a rule or two, and Polywhaler pings you the moment something interesting happens.

Connect a channel

Alerts are delivered to Discord or Telegram. You can use one or both. Both live in the Channels card at the top of the Alerts page.

Discord

  1. In your Discord server, open Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook and copy the webhook URL.
  2. Paste it into the Webhook URL field on the Alerts page.
  3. Click Test. If the channel is set up correctly, a test message lands in the chat.

Telegram

  1. Create a bot through @BotFather on Telegram and copy its token.
  2. Send any message to your new bot so it can identify your chat.
  3. Paste the token into the Telegram section and click to verify. Polywhaler picks up the chat ID automatically.

Build a rule

Each rule has a source (which whales to watch) and a set of filters (which of their trades qualify). Hit Add rule in the Rules card to create one.

  • All tracked whales: every whale Polywhaler sees. Best for catching market-wide signals.
  • My watchlist: only the whales on your Watchlist. Quiet inbox, high signal.
  • Specific wallets: paste up to 25 wallet addresses for a single rule. Good for tracking one well-known trader or a small cluster.

Filter the noise

Every rule supports the same filters. Most of them are optional. Stack them to narrow the rule down to exactly the trades you care about.

  • Category: all, crypto, politics, economy, world, tech, culture, science, sports, or esports.
  • Minimum trade size: the floor in USD. The minimum the rule will accept is $10,000.
  • Side: buys, sells, or both.
  • Impact level: low, medium, or high. The impact score blends trade size, market significance, and probability shift.
  • Insider risk: low, medium, or high. Use high to catch only the trades that score 70+ on the insider model.
  • Probability range: a min and max on the implied probability at trade time. Useful for catching big bets on long-shot outcomes.
  • Time to expiry: 0DTE, this week, this month, or longer term. Late-cycle bets are often the most interesting.
  • New wallets only: trip the rule only on wallets that are new to Polymarket. Useful for spotting fresh insider accounts.

Limits and management

  • You can have up to 10 rules at one time. Toggle a rule off if you want to pause it without deleting.
  • A single Specific wallets rule can hold up to 25 wallet addresses.
  • Edits are live the moment you save. There is no draft state, so test on a quiet rule first if you are changing thresholds aggressively.

Three rules to start with

  • Insider sweep: source All tracked whales, insider risk High, side Both. Catches the most suspicious trades across the whole feed.
  • Watchlist heartbeat: source My watchlist, no other filters. Every trade from a whale you trust, in real time.
  • Big money only: source All tracked whales, minimum trade size $100,000. The volume-only signal, no other noise.

Tip

Start with one rule and watch your Discord or Telegram for a day. If you are getting too many pings, tighten the filters. If you are getting none, loosen them.
