How are events placed on the map?
Each event is placed at the country or city it is about, from its title and market, then sized by the whale money in it.
What does the shading mean?
Insider risk, from the insider scores of the whale trades on the event: high, medium or elevated.
Where does the news come from?
Headlines and news attention come from GDELT, which monitors news coverage worldwide. Live TV is broadcasters' own YouTube streams.
