Polywhaler Agent

Agent is your AI research assistant for prediction markets. Ask about whale activity, markets, and trades, connect the pages you are researching, and get visual answers backed by Polywhaler data.

Start a conversation#

  1. Sign in to your Polywhaler account, then click the floating chat button at the bottom right of the page.
  2. Type a question or choose a suggested prompt. Press Enter to send; Shift + Enter adds a new line.
  3. Continue in the side pane while browsing, or use Open full chat for more room. You can also open the full chat page directly.

Drag the side pane's left edge to resize it. To start another conversation, use New chat at the bottom of the main sidebar or in the chat header.

Questions to try#

  • “Where are whales moving today?” — explore tracked activity and the events receiving attention.
  • “Explain this whale's recent performance.” — ask from a whale's performance tab to discuss that trader and view.
  • “Put this trade in context of this event.” — pin the trade, then open its event to connect the two.
  • “How does the smart money score work?” — get an explanation with links to the relevant documentation.

Be specific

Include a time window, venue, or comparison when it matters. “Compare buying and selling in politics over the last 24 hours” gives Agent a clearer question to answer.

Use the current page as context#

The side pane's Current page card follows your browsing. It identifies the whale, trade, event, chart, or page you are viewing, so references such as “this whale” have a starting point.

On whale profiles, context includes the selected tab and time window. A selected chart can include its market, outcome, and timeframe. Agent retrieves the data available for that reference and your plan; the card is not a screenshot of everything on your screen.

Moving to another page updates the current context. Use pins when you want an earlier page to remain part of the conversation. Full chat keeps your pinned pages and does not add a browsing-page card.

Pin pages to connect your research#

  1. Open a page you want to reference and use the pin icon on its context card in the chat composer.
  2. Browse to the next page. The pinned card stays, alongside the new current-page card.
  3. Ask a question that connects them. For example, pin a trade, open its event, and ask what stands out about the trade in that market.

You can pin up to five page references in a conversation, including different views of the same whale. Use Unpin on a pinned card to remove it. Pin controls pause while an answer is being generated.

Pins are saved with the conversation and available when you reopen it on another device. They preserve the page reference and selected view; Agent fetches the available data again for later questions. A new chat starts with no pinned pages.

Read visual answers and sources#

When useful, Agent puts an expanded visual result above its explanation. Event images, whale identities, market outcomes, and relevant metrics help you inspect the items discussed in the answer. Open a result or source link to continue your research on the underlying page.

  • Check the time window, freshness, and coverage notes. A list of the largest tracked trades may represent only part of the activity.
  • Profit and loss values use signed amounts, with green for profits and red for losses. Trade volume and buy/sell activity describe flows; they do not measure profitability.
  • Market assessments depend on the available evidence. Whale buying alone does not establish that an outcome is underpriced.

Task labels show when Agent is reading data, finding documentation, or writing. Use Stop to end generation and keep the partial answer, or Copy response to copy a completed reply.

Confirm actions before they happen#

Agent can propose following a whale, saving a market, watching an event, or creating a custom alert. Review the proposal and click Confirm to apply it. Custom alerts require Pro or Quant; connected delivery channels are managed on the Alerts page.

You stay in control

Asking for an action creates a proposal. Account changes happen after your confirmation. Agent does not place trades or execute orders.

Manage your conversations#

Reopen a saved conversation under Chats in the main sidebar, or use the title dropdown in the chat header to switch chats. Full chat and the side pane share the same conversation.

After sending your first message, open the conversation in full chat and use the edit icon beside its title to rename it. Title editing is available in full chat after a conversation has started.

Usage, access, and your data#

Settings → Agent shows your usage, remaining allowance, and progress bar. Free includes a limited lifetime allowance; Pro has expanded monthly usage, and Quant has extensive monthly usage. Paid reset times appear in your local timezone. See Compare all features for the exact plan allowances.

A turn is charged when answer generation starts. Cancelling after that point still uses a turn. Starting or deleting a chat does not renew your allowance.

Agent follows your account's current access. Pinning a page does not unlock Pro or Quant data. After a downgrade, saved answers that relied on premium data may be locked.

Conversations are private to your Polywhaler account. Your questions and relevant data are sent to OpenAI to generate answers; conversation history is saved in your Polywhaler account. Web searches use separate public-topic queries. Read the privacy policy for more information.
