Map

The Map plots events on the world geographically so you can spot regional clusters of suspicious activity at a glance. Events sit on the country (or city) most relevant to the market: a Brazilian election goes on Brazil, a US Fed decision goes on Washington.

Read the markers

Each marker on the map is an event, color-coded by its average insider risk and sized by trade volume.

The Map page showing a globe view with clustered event markers around Tehran and Washington DC, time and category filters in the toolbar, and a risk-level legend in the corner.
The Map. Filters sit along the top, the risk-level legend in the bottom corner.
  • High Risk (70+): the most suspicious bucket.
  • Medium Risk (55-69): notable insider signal.
  • Elevated (40-54): worth keeping an eye on.
  • Size: bigger markers mean more trade volume on that event.

The counter in the toolbar (X/Y events) shows how many events your filters currently match out of the total Polywhaler is tracking.

Filter what you see

Three control groups sit at the bottom of the map.

  • Time: 1H, 6H, 24H, 7D, 30D. Only show events with activity in that window.
  • Category: All, Crypto, Markets & World.
  • View: Global, Timeline, Clusters. Global is the default world view, Timeline animates events in chronological order, Clusters groups stacked events into single pins.

Drill into a region

Click any marker to focus on that event. Click a cluster pin to expand it into a list of the events stacked at that location. From there you can jump straight into the market, into The Prophet coverage of the event, or into any whale's profile.

When the map is most useful

  • Before a major geopolitical event, to see whether the smart money has started positioning days ahead of the news cycle.
  • After a market-moving event, when hot clusters tell you where to look for related markets you might have missed.
  • For discovering markets in regions you do not normally follow. The map surfaces activity that a US-centric feed buries.

Pro tier

The map itself is free to browse. Pro unlocks the interactive layers: cluster grouping, the timeline scrubber, geo-alerts, and the cluster detail panel. Without Pro you still see the markers and can click into individual events.
